Spain Manufacturing Growth Moderates In September
Spain's manufacturing activity growth moderated at the end of the third quarter with weaker increases in output, new orders and employment, data from IHS Markit showed Monday.
The headline IHS Markit factory Purchasing Managers' Index dropped to 51.4 in September from 53.0 in August, signaling only a slight monthly improvement in the sector.
The latest reading signaled that business conditions was the least marked since August 2016.
The survey showed weaker rise in production amid slight increase in new orders. Rate of job creation also softened.
Business confidence improved, with positive sentiment reflecting expectations that new orders will continue to increase.
